Before hiring Korean developers, define the technical role and the result you need. Made It lets company members explore partners by country and review introductions and portfolios. Current availability and technical fit still need individual confirmation. Use this checklist to prepare your evaluation.
Identify the development role your project needs
Describe whether the work involves frontend, backend, mobile apps or data processing. For an existing product, document the stack, integrations and reproducible problems. For a new product, begin with the essential actions users must complete and the environment in which it will run.
Ask what the developer actually contributed
Do more than compare portfolio screenshots. Ask which features the developer implemented and what responsibilities they held within the team. Discuss maintenance, testing and performance work where relevant. For confidential projects, request an explanation they can share without exposing client materials.
Discuss a concrete requirement in a technical conversation
Choose one representative feature and ask about the approach, dependencies and likely constraints. A conversation about past work and design decisions can be more useful than a large unpaid test assignment. Confirm location and Korean or English communication ability separately; one does not establish the other.
Agree on code handover and operating responsibilities
List the repository access, setup instructions, deployment steps, test results and operational documentation you expect. Distinguish post-launch defect support from new feature development. Keep third-party service access limited to what is needed and review ownership and permissions at handover.

Common questions
Will a Korean developer be assigned immediately?
This is a planning guide, not a promise of immediate assignment or available talent. Review partners as a company member or post a project, then confirm who can participate.
How should I compare development estimates?
Compare proposals against the same scope and deliverables. Check whether testing, deployment, revisions and maintenance are included before comparing hourly rates or project totals.
